Red Butler prepare to enchant Arlington Arts Centre!

Red Butler

Once in a while a young new band comes along that makes you stop, look and listen………Red Butler is one such band!

The great news for blues-rock fans, live music lovers and aspiring musicians in and around Newbury, is that they will be playing at Arlington Arts Centre on Saturday 28th November and put simply; this will be a great night and one show not to miss!

Last year Red Butler were voted ‘Best New UK Act’ by Blues Matters Magazine and they also reined in a couple of accolades in this years British Blues Awards when guitarist Alex Butler came second in Young Artist of the Year and the band came second, in the Emerging Artist category!

It doesn’t end there though, and as one of only four finalists in the second UK Blues Challenge, on Saturday 24th October they will be performing on stage at The Boom Boom Club in Sutton.  The winner of the UK Blues challenge will represent the UK at the 6th European Blues Challenge, organised by the European Blues Union.  This will take place in Torrita di Siena, Italy on 7-8-9th April 2016.

Don’t be fooled to typecast Red Butler too narrowly though, whilst there is an obvious Blues influence in their sound, they have a much wider appeal and after seeing them live, it will become clear why they are getting rave reviews wherever they play!

Delivering a hand crafted mix of originals and intriguing covers the band harnesses a raw, dynamic energy, delivered with passion, feeling and creativity; they are sure to excite any audience and set the scene for a great nights entertainment!

If you believe that actions do in fact speak louder than words, then look no further and watch the band performing “Jaywalker” at https://youtu.be/t4oKl9_5wcI a song from their debit album “Freedom Bound”
