The British Blues Awards 2010

The Nottingham Blues Society is currently running The British Blues Awards.

Basically we are asking for nominations in various categories and the top 4 or 5 will go to the final vote.

Our problem is in reaching all corners of the UK for a fair representation of nominations. Therefore we are asking Blues clubs and venues if they could possibly publicise it to their patrons. If you could maybe put a notice in your venue directing people to the website, or perhaps ask bands and artists you have performing to announce it we would be very appreciative.

We do not have a hidden agenda here, this is free and open and run by a group of people purely for the love of the Blues and for keeping music live. Blues music is largely ignored in most music awards and it’s time to redress the balance a bit and give our Blues artists and bands the recognition they deserve.
